Just a short note of appreciation for Dave Kobos and his staff regarding the great service that they provided for our RV at the Perry GA FMCA rally. We went in for a Road Performance Assessment on our new (previously owned) RV, due to multiple handling issues that we had encountered on our first significant road trip. Before even starting the road portion of the test, the technicians discovered a serious potential problem about to go wrong that could have been catastrophic, and they insisted that they fix it before even running the road test ! Talk about service and saving me money !
After the Road test, Dave was instrumental in recommending a list of upgrades that could solve the multiple handling problems that we were experiencing, and was helpful in making suggestions about which should be handled with the highest priority to affect the biggest improvements. In no way did he make any high pressure sales pitches, and as I was aboard for the RPA ride, I agreed with everything he proposed. I just could not afford to do the entire list at once. So we went over the list together, and based upon his recommendations we decided to replace the shocks with Koni high performance shocks, and added Roadmaster Sway bars to the rear of our chassis. The difference in ride quality was astonishing, as we found on our return trip home. There are still some issues to resolve, but we are now much more educated about what we need and why, and the costs associated with the improvements that we need to make. Dave was fantastic in working with my budget to provide us with the biggest improvement possible, and the satisfaction that we felt in the improvements in ride and handling during our trip home to Texas was incredible.
I would enthusiastically recommend Dave and his staff at Apalachee RV Center to anyone needing service for their RV. Their friendliness and helpfulness are on a level seldom experienced these days. The next time we are through Georgia, we will be planning a stop at Apalachee, if even just to visit, because they made us feel like good friends or family.
